Winter Visitor

I live in the country. We expect to have the occasional rodent visiting the house. That's why I have three cats, to keep the little critters at bay. So imagine my surprise the other day when I came upon this scene!


The little fellow on the counter is a pack rat. He is still in residence under my stove. My little cat Clara was content to watch him from the safety of the kitchen table, and her two bigger brothers barely give a passing glance when they hear him rustling around. I'll be shopping for a trap.....
