For the record. it will be short term. The tire is being repaired now and we will put it back on the car in the next day or two. I just couldn't resist taking this picture and posting it here!
It's been a while since I posted here, but life goes on. We have things pretty much tucked in for winter: plenty of propane in the tank, hay in the barn and the chicken coop windows covered with plastic sheeting. We had the traditional Thanksgiving day storm which was mostly rain. I'm ready for some snow myself.....

Love it......I did laugh but how could I not.
nancy- It's good to hear from you! We're fine...I think we've discussed our friend Tina, the woman with the brain tumor for whom we have POA. She is declining..the hospice nurse says she will be surprised if she is here for Christmas...I think she is wrong, but never the less, it's becoming more and more consuming, both time and emotions. I've aplogized to my kids, hoping they don't think I care more about a neighbor woman than them. They seem to understand. We have home health care as well as hospice but so much falls on her 19 year old daughter that your heart just breaks. She has a crazy mom and two sisters and they remind me of the monkeys in the Wizard of Oz...flying around causing way too much comotion. Anyway, we take it a day at a time and know it's not going to get any better. We are also executors of her estate and I believe the flying monkeys will land...I can't remember if they land in the movie.
